SHPE-NYC Noche De Ciencias

We are looking for NYC professionals to network with students from Manhattan Bridges High School (MBHS) for ONE NIGHT ONLY!  The MBHS students that will be attending are Latino students who have shown interest in pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields. Noche De Ciencias is a SHPE initiative put forth to encourage students to prepare for a STEM education and career, as well as to extend the future pipeline of SHPE professionals and leaders.

This event is scheduled to take place on October 20th from 6-8 pm. The students will be assigned a hands-on engineering project.  We need professionals to interact with the students and provide advice as the students develop a solution to their assigned projects.

Manhattan Bridges High School opened its doors in 2003, catering to Spanish-speaking students who have been in the country for 4 years or less.  The school fosters a family atmosphere and has an engineering based curriculum. Please join us in making this contribution to a successful future for these students.
Please RSVP at rsvp@shpe-nyc.org.
