You’re invited!

Two great events this week in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month!

Noche de Ciencias & A Night at the Theater!

Noche de Ciencias

Tuesday, October 20th, 6 - 8 pm

The MBHS students that will be attending are Latino students who have shown interest in pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields. Noche De Ciencias is a SHPE initiative put forth to encourage students to prepare for a STEM education and career, as well as to extend the future pipeline of SHPE professionals and leaders.

This event is scheduled to take place on October 20th from 6-8 pm. The students will be assigned a hands-on engineering project.  We need professionals to interact with the students and provide advice as the students develop a solution to their assigned projects.

Manhattan Bridges High School opened its doors in 2003, catering to Spanish-speaking students who have been in the country for 4 years or less.  The school fosters a family atmosphere and has an engineering based curriculum. Please join us in making this contribution to a successful future for these students.

If you would like to volunteer, please RSVP at rsvp@shpe-nyc.org

Join SHPE for a special night at the theater. This is a special private performance for SHPE-NYC members and our friends. We have arranged a wine and cheese reception before the show and a special meet-the-cast reception after the show. Remember to bring plenty of business cards as we will have executives and representatives from various engineering and financial services firms in attendance. Space is limited so please reserve your spot as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you there!
