On December 19th SHPE-NYC members traveled to the Queens Community House to spread holiday cheer by distributing the 160 toys collected at the SHPE-NYC 2008 Holiday Banquet and Toy Drive. The recipients of the gifts were a group of local minority Elementary school children, who shared their excitement and appreciation throughout the entire event. Some of the children have sent us thank you letters, which are attached to this e-mail. Since this event would not have been possible without your support as a SHPE-NYC member, we would like to share some of these uplifting letters with you.
Your feedback and ideas are valuable to us, and can be shared by participating in our online survey, available at www.shpe-nyc.org/survey. Photos of the toy distribution and holiday banquet can be found at www.shpe-nyc.org/photos.
Thanks again, and have a safe holiday season. See you in 2009!
